Your Yearly Plan Checkup in Dover

Medicare plans are not set in stone. Insurers can change premiums, copays, drug lists and networks every year, and those changes take effect on January 1.

By the end of September every plan mails an Annual Notice of Change listing next year's differences. It is easy to set aside, but it often contains the most important information you will get all year.

A quick review each fall can confirm your plan still fits or reveal a better option. We are glad to do that with you at no cost.

What to Look For

  • Premium and deductible changes
  • Copays for doctor visits and specialists
  • Whether your medicines are still covered and on the same tier
  • Whether your doctors, hospitals and pharmacy are still in network
  • Changes to dental, vision or hearing extras

If any of these shift, it may be worth comparing other plans before December 7.

Key Dates

Autumn enrollment opens October 15 and closes December 7, and anything you pick then is active on New Year's Day.

Part C members have one more shot in the first quarter: a single change before March 31, either to a different Part C plan or back to the federal program.

Life Changes Matter Too

New diagnoses, new prescriptions, a move within Morris County or a change in income can all affect which plan is best. Tell us about anything new so the review reflects your current situation.

If your income has dropped, check our help paying for Medicare page for programs you may now qualify for.

How We Do the Review

We gather your current medicines, doctors and pharmacy, read your Annual Notice of Change with you and compare your plan against other options we offer. Plan on roughly thirty minutes, by phone or on screen.

Should your present plan still come out ahead, you will hear that from us. There is no obligation to change anything.

Book a Free Review by Phone or Video

Keep your medicine list and your doctors' names nearby. We compare your present coverage with the plans we carry and show the difference in yearly dollars and provider access. Calls usually run about thirty minutes, you are never asked to decide during the conversation, and you are welcome to read about us first.

Annual Review Questions From Dover

What if I miss December 7?

You generally stay put for the coming year, apart from Special Enrollment Periods or the first-quarter Part C option.

Do I need to do anything to keep my plan?

No. If your plan continues, you stay enrolled automatically. A review is still a good idea.

Can you review a Medigap policy too?

Yes. Medigap benefits do not change by letter, but premiums can rise, so we can check whether another carrier offers a better price.
